How do I add a newsletter form to my Posterous?
The good folks at MailChimp have made it incredibly easy to include MailChimp's Embedded Signup Form feature into Posterous with Chimpsterous. Visitors can then enter their own information to be subscribed to your selected MailChimp subscriber list.
Getting Started
This tutorial will only take about 5 minutes. You'll need:
- Your MailChimp API Key
- Configure Chimpsterous with your Posterous login
Getting Your API Key
First, you're going to need to generate an API key from the MailChimp Dashboard. You can find this under Account > API Keys & Authorized Apps.
In the next screen, select Add a Key and copy the key string that is generated.
Getting Your Chimpsterous
Once you have your API Key copied, head over to Chimpsterous. From there, follow the prompts to include your MailChimp API key and Posterous login information.
Success! Chimpsterous should have automatically created a page on your primary Posterous site with a functional newsletter form.
Note: This only currently works with your primary Posterous site.
